The MacExperience is a locally owned and operated computer company focused on selling and servicing Apple computers and related software and accessories.  We are looking for part time personnel. As a Specialist, you’re the essence of a customer’s experience at the MacExperience stores.  You earn trust by recommending solutions that do more than meet people’s needs. Must be good with people, eager to make customers a priority, prompt, a team player, able to follow directions and must be teachable. Compensation will be based on experience.

Most positions will be Part Time.

Extensive working knowledge of OS X, iLife, iWork, and iOS a must.

• - Count money, sort charge slips and balance monies

The update will enable calendar syncing between Outlook for Mac and Apple’s Sync Services. This means you can now sync your Outlook calendars, as well as your contacts, notes and tasks with any service or device that supports Sync Services.

That includes your iPhone and iPad. Microsoft’s Senior Director of Product Management, Pat Fox, told The Loop that this was one of the most requested features from Office for Mac 2011 users.

Unfortunately, Apple is discontinuing support for MobileMe calendar syncing via Sync Services as of May 5th, preventing users from utilizing direct Outlook-MobileMe syncing.

Outlook will see a number of other new features, including support for server-side rules in Exchange, redirect and resend buttons for mail, and editing of existing messages. Excel will reportedly also see new integration of Solver functionalities.

After almost a year in which the Apple iPad has been virtually the only game in town in tablet computers, some serious competitors are finally hitting the market. Yet in Consumer Reports latest tests of the 10 most-promising tablet computers, the Apple iPad 2 with Wi-Fi and 3G topped the Ratings. In Consumer Reports lab tests, the Motorola Xoom revealed itself as the iPad 2′s chief rival. Like the iPad 2, the Xoom boasts a 10-inch screen but adds conveniences that the iPad lacks, including a built-in memory card reader and support for the Flash videos and animations found on many Web sites.

“So far, Apple is leading the tablet market in both quality and price, which is unusual for a company whose products are usually premium priced,” said Paul Reynolds, Electronics Editor at Consumer Reports. “However, it’s likely we’ll see more competitive pricing in tablets as other models begin to hit the market.”
